Leadburn Community Woodland – February 2026

A recent snowfall bore witness to the variety of visitors who enjoy the Woodland:  deer, hares, dogs, humans, sledges and prams all left their tracks.

Snowflakes were beautifully illuminated in the sunshine.

The regular volunteers, assisted by a group of ‘Dirty Weekenders’, have been busy re-roofing the small side room of the WW2 laboratory building to provide at least a small amount of shelter for both workers and walkers.
