There’s been vigorous growth on the Woodland this month: rampant bindweed and tufted vetch, yellow slime mould and suckering aspens. There’s been vigorous work also by the volunteers – painting the inside walls of the old WW2 laboratory.

This month’s photos include: a view of a variety of grasses on the Sundew Path; water lilies gradually increasing on the Laboratory Pond; oak leaf galls; a small skipper butterfly; and a common lizard well camouflaged against tree bark.
