Leadburn Community Woodland – April 2026

The original log bench by the Frog Pond has now almost completely returned to the soil, so last weekend volunteers installed a more substantial replacement (made by Jeremy).  

If visitors would like to donate to help the work of the volunteers there are now QR code labels attached to some of the information boards in the wood, or follow this link to the online donations page.

The recent sunny weather has coaxed many plants into bloom. Wild cherry, blackthorn, coltsfoot, cowslip and violets are all increasingly in evidence.

The local bird ringers came recently to ring 6 healthy raven chicks.
