Leadburn Community Woodland – September 2026
September at Leadburn Community Woodland brings early signs of autumn – yellow grasses, red berries and fading purple on the hills; a Common Darter dragonfly enjoying the last of the summer warmth; a Common Carder bee on Devil’s Bit Scabious.
The main Leadburn Moss has been gradually regrowing grasses, heather and bog cotton since the re-profiling work.
